Where it runs
PoshTax runs on the PoshLayer Desk. Your data is stored in the EU (Ireland). The app is delivered through Cloudflare's network.
If our service goes down
An outage loses no data: the app is simply unavailable until service returns. A check runs every five minutes and alerts us.
Backups
Backed up every night to a separate provider, encrypted, 30 days kept, and a full restore is tested every week.
Getting your data out
Today, a full copy of your data is available on request. Our Terms of Business promise a full copy within 14 days of ending, and return or deletion of the data we process within 30 days.
Who can see it
Each practice sees only its own data. Our staff can read it, but cannot change or send anything. Database administration is held by the founder and our own servers.
AI and training
The AI work runs through Anthropic's Claude API, under Anthropic's commercial terms and data processing agreement, with the UK transfer addendum. Those terms say our data is not used to train their models. It is processed in the US. What is sent is only the content the software is asked to work on. We do not state how long it is kept.
Your duties and ours
Your practice is the controller of its clients' data. PoshLayer Ltd processes it under the data processing agreement in Schedule 1 of our Terms of Business. See also the PoshLayer privacy notice and this site's privacy notice.
Messages that look wrong
It never runs attachments, opens links or enables macros, and anything suspicious goes to a held pile for a person. The full rule.
